The Get Carter Episode

After one of the best grands prix of the week, possibly the month, the Pitpass team can barely contain their positivity. Mostly because if they don't they're worried they'll be blamed for all Formula One's problems by Matthew Carter.

Chris Balfe, Max Noble and Mat Coch return to discuss the British Grand Prix, agreeing unanimously that there are certainly no problems in Formula One and that the race should be taken as proof everything is brilliant and nothing needs to change. Ever.

Okay, maybe some things but are suggested only in a very positive and not negative at all way.

There was Williams' brilliant start, after all, Balfe in particular through that was pretty positive. There were positive's for McLaren too with Fernando Alonso scoring a point. It was a positive race for the sport in general in fact, which left the team utterly confused as to why everyone has been talking it down – especially the media which has been ruining it for fans.

Balfe even finds positives in Lewis Hamilton's latest sun glasses, though in fairness he was scraping the bottom of the barrel at that point.

There's constructive criticism – in a positive way, of course – over McLaren and Red Bull and suggestions Valtteri Bottas heading to Ferrari might not be the worst thing for Daniel Ricciardo.

It just goes to show that the opinion of Lotus' technical director, and a strained 1970s movie reference, are all the sport needs to solve all its problems. Which is good because we were beginning to fear the fact spineless senior figures in the sport being afraid to speak out might actually cause it a problem.
